Peter Scott

I am 18 years old. I represented South Africa at the recent FIS Alpine World Ski Championships held in Val d'Isere (France). My big dream is to represent S.A. at the 2010 Winter Olympic Games in Canada.

 

 

Andrea Harmsen

I am 19. I started skiing when I was 8 years old. My greatest achievement so far is winning the national titel in the slalom at Tiffindell in 2007.My greatest asperation is to represent SA in an international competition.

 

 

Lauren Harmsen

I am 17. I learnt to ski when I was 6. I won the national titel in the Giant slalom at Tiffindel in 2007and 2008. I was privileged to have been able to represent SA in the Dream Programmr in Korea. My dream is to one day be part of a South African National Alpine Team, competing overseas.

 

 

Ivan Falatso.

I’m a lift operator. Alex Heath taught me racing. I’ve been skiing for 6years. I like to ski everyday because I work on the lifts. I’ve competed in three SA Champs. I love to go fast. I love the champs because I ski on the skis which Alex Heath gave me.

 

 

Sibongile Rateleki.

My nickname is Sbongi. I’m a ski instructor, team leader and also run the labour shop. I’ve been skiing for ten years. I ski every winter and now help coach the younger development team. I’ve competed five times in SA Champs. I love skiing and competing. When we race, we all the same

 

 

Eric Matiyis.

I’m a carpenter at Tiffindell. I taught myself to ski after work. I’ve been skiing for 9years – about once per week. I’ve competed in six SA Champs. I like the sport to get out. I like to race because I want to ski like Alex.

 

 

Agnes Rateleki.

I work in the restaurant at Tiffindell Ski Resort. I’ve only been skiing for five years. I try to ski every Thursday. I’ve competed in three SA Champs before. One day I would like to go overseas to ski. I’m very nervous during competitions.
