In
1996 our development programme was initiated
at Tiffindell Ski Resort (Eastern Cape Mountains).
The initial group had 10 young black skiers.
Tanya Orpen from Barkly East Ski Club established
the development ski school in 2001. Dr.Christina
Olivier is now running the very successful "Ikhephu
Ski Pups" Campaign at the Tiffindell Ski
Resort, with National Coach Alex Heath. The
Club looks after more than 60 school children
from Barkly East and Rhodes. The programme receives
extensive assistance from the Department of
Sport & Recreation South Africa. |
